Hemp for mental health

In recent years, there has been a growing interest in Hemp's possible mental health benefits. According to an Open study letter published in 2019. There were 6.4 million Google searches for Hemp information in April 2019.

Hemp is said to help with a range of illnesses, while more research is needed to identify the potential impacts and advantages of Hemp. It has shown promise in the treatment of a variety of illnesses, including depression, anxiety, epilepsy, and sleep difficulties, according to some previous research.

Sleeping Problems

Because Hemp has a relaxing effect, it may be useful in the treatment of sleep disorders. Sleep is essential for mental health and well-being, but according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), one-third of American adults do not get the necessary amount of sleep each night. This is an issue because lack of sleep has been related to health problems like depression, type 2 diabetes, obesity, and heart disease.

PTSD:

Hemp may be beneficial in lowering the symptoms of this illness, according to some research. Researchers found that taking an oral dose of Hemp in addition to standard psychiatric treatment for PTSD reduced symptoms in one study published in the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine.

Anxiety

Anxiety is a condition that many individuals face. An estimated 19.1 percent of persons in India suffer from anxiety problems each year. 6 Hemp has been shown in several trials to aid with anxiety symptoms. One study looked into the neurological basis for Hemp's ability to alleviate symptoms of social anxiety disorder.

An analysis of existing preclinical research on the use of Hemp for anxiety published in the journal Neurotherapeutics in 2015 indicated that Hemp was useful for a number of anxiety problems, including:

Anxiety disorder with symptoms of generalised anxiety

Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)

Anxiety disorder

Anxiety about social situations

PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) is a type of anxiety illness that occurs after a severe event.

Conclusion: Finally, keep in mind that researchers are still learning about all of the potential hazards and advantages of Hemp use. More research is needed to learn about the long-term mental and physical consequences of Hemp, so proceed with caution and seek medical advice before using it.

According to the study, there is simply not enough high-quality evidence to support the use of Hemp to treat mental illnesses. As more study is conducted, this may change in the future.
